Brothers Tom and Ray Magliozzi, co-hosts of “Car Talk,’’ a staple of National Public Radio programming for 25 years, announced their upcoming retirement Friday in typical “Click and Clack’’ fashion: with wisecracks. Their show, which debuted on Boston’s WBUR-FM 35 years ago, will live on, though, as a Greatest Hits repackaging of its more than 1,2000 programs.
